Answer: Fewer than half

After Texas passed its unconstitutional anti-choice law, HB2, last summer, clinics closed rapidly, leaving just 33 by October 2013. Today, fewer than half of those clinics remain. If the law goes into full effect on September 1, 2014, fewer than 10 will be able to stay open to provide care for 13 million Texas women. The Center is currently fighting HB2 in two open court cases.
